Kenneth Saenz
Senior Stylist
Kenny has been a stylist for 27 years. He has taken advanced classes with Vidal Sassoon, Sebastian, and Aestelance. He is also a pro in Pivot Point cutting by training with Trevor Sorbie, and Toni and Guy. Kenny also has a degree in Business Administration and Fashion Merchandising when he was living in Scottsdale Arizona. If you don't see him in our salon, look for him and his adorable chihuahuas at the Westminster Dog Show on the Animal Planet and USA channel. In Kenny's "spare" time, he volunteers at The Flower Mart, The American Heart Association, Angels of the O.R., and other numerous fundraisers.
Yana Vulikh
Nail Technician
Yana has been a nail technician for 25 years. She specializes in acrylic nails, and the silk wrap. Yana has furthered her education in hand massages, focusing on the pressure points. She enjoys cross stitching, reading, and exercising.
William Thelen
Senior Stylist
William's expertise is in cutting and styling with extensive training nationally and internationally. He has 30 years in the business
Leah Pelovitz
Esthetician/Makeup Artist
Leah is a 2002 graduate of Von Lee International School of Esthetics. She has extensive training in bridal makeup, waxing techniques, and customized facial regimens. She has been a certified Xtreme Lash Extentions (semi permanent lash extentions) technician for 3 years. Leah enjoys being with people, and making them feel fabulous. Tammy McCann
Stylist
With 29 years experience Tammy specializes in color and highlighting. She furthers her education by attending the NYC Hair Show, and the Baltimore show. Tammy enjoys spending time with friends, reading, and collecting beach glass to make jewelry and other beautiful treasures.
Michel Chard
Hair Traffic Controller (receptionist)
Michel has provided excellent customer service for 15 years. She moved from Greenwich, Connecticut in 1984 to attend the Maryland Institute College of Art. After 4 years, she graduated from MICA earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. Michel worked in various galleries dealing with people, where she discovered her love of customer service. When Michel is not a "hair traffic controller", she enjoys shopping for shoes, attending concerts, and most of all her love and compassion for animals.
Judy Lehmann
Massage Therapist
Judy has been a certified massage therapist for 16 years. She specializes in Reiki, Hot Stone, Swedish, and Deep Tissue massages. She spends half of her time in the salon, and the other half at Levindale Rehabilitation Center for Seniors giving our seniors a little tender loving care. What makes Judy different from a lot of the other massage therapists is that she has a good energy connection with her clients. When she is not working, Judy enjoys hiking, walking, and gardening.
Walli Levin
Stylist
Walli (pronounced Valli) has been a stylist for 22 years. She has 3 extensive years of training in Germany, and to keep up with her education Walli attends different trade shows in NY and the big World Show in Washington D.C. Walli's specialty consists of color placement, and precision cutting. In her spare time, she enjoys transforming people into supermodels, shopping, and traveling.
Michele Stuart-Johnson
Stylist/Color Specialist
With 20 plus years under her belt, Michele is a certified Alfaparf, Actyva, and Aestelance Hair and Scalp System educator. She is also a member of the New York Congress of Color Masters. She has studied the theory of color at MICA, and The Art and Fashion Group International Academy of Color Arts and Science.
Dawn McLaughlin
Senior Stylist
Dawn has been a stylist for 24 years. She apprenticed for 2 years under the notorious hair colorist, Wilmar Sick from Carl's Intercoiffure. Dawn is trained and certified at The Vidal Sasson Academy in Santa Monica, California. She is comfortable in all aspects of the hair industry, but specializes in precision cutting. In her spare time, Dawn loves gardening, cooking, fine dining, and most of all, her 3 little pugs.
Vanessa Vale
Junior Stylist
Vanessa has been a stylist for 4 years. She has furthered her education taking classes with Oscar Bond, TIGI, American Crew, and the infamous Paul Mitchell. She specializes in razor cutting, multi- dimentional cuts, and BLOW DRYS!!! Vanessa also has the special touch for the children that aren't very fond of haircuts. Check her out as a featured "Glamour Girl" hairstylist in the Spring 2007 issue of Paper Doll magazine. In her spare time, and she enjoys walking her dog, Nia.
Margie Pezzica
Senior Stylist/Updo Specialist
Margie has been a stylist for 40 years. She has kept up with all the new styles by attending Vidal Sassoon's cutting class, and the extensive Hair Color USA seminar in Miami, Florida. Note to brides: Margie is a certified "updo specialist" with updo guru, Martin Parsons. When Margie isn't taking great care of her clients, she enjoys gardening, reading, cooking, and most of all, spending quality time with her Grandson, Alex.
Lisa Cox
Stylist/Master Barber
Lisa has been a stylist and master barber for 25 years. She is certified with American Crew, and has definitely mastered the men's cut. Lisa likes to attend the New York and Los Angelos hair shows, and the Paul Mitchell Hair Camp to keep up with her education. In her spare time, she enjoys eating, sleeping, sipping on some cocktails, and just hanging out.
Pat Preller
Senior Stylist
Pat has been a stylist for 31 years. She has many years experience in training our apprentices and our junior stylists. To continue her education, Pat likes to attend the NYC hair shows as well as the Crystal City shows. When she's not making Baltimore beautiful she likes to shop and work in her garden.
Jean Stansbury
Senior Shampoo Tech
Jean started in the hair industry 25 years ago hoping to become a stylist, but found her niche as our shampoo tech. She takes many classes from our massage therapist to keep her massage techniques up to date. Jean focuses on the pressure points of the scalp, and literally erases headaches and any pain. If she has any extra time, ask her for one of her outstanding neck and shoulder massages. In Jean's spare time, she enjoys walking, singing, listening to oldies, and visiting art galleries.
Joe Johnson
Shampoo Tech
Joe has been part of the hair industry in Baltimore for 35 years. He started off as a color specialist for 10 years at Beauty International in the Carrolltown Condos. He then realized that becoming a shampoo tech would allow him to be personable and more suitable for his clients. Joe specializes in therapeutic scalp massage and treatments. His shampoos are very invigorating, yet relaxing, which makes clients wait in line for him. Joe enjoys reading murder mysteries, singing, and collecting Ancient Egyptian Artifacts.
Jen Davis
Junior Stylist
Jen has been a stylist for 2 years. She has taken extensive cutting classes with American Crew, and the Paul Mitchell hair camp. She has also attended the Bumble and Bumble design workshop to sharpen her color skills. Jen loves to go to the beach, snowboard, and to dance.
Mia Morris
Shampoo Tech
Mia is a 2006 graduate from Robert Paul Academy in Baltimore. She has been a shampoo tech for 4 years. Mia specializes in hair care, and is there to assist any stylist when they are in need. Our older clients are in good hands with Mia, she goes the extra mile for whether it's shampooing, getting them a beverage, or walking them to their next service. Mia has a huge passion for animals, and she enjoys traveling, shopping, dancing, and cooking.
Lana Bekar
Nail Technician
Lana has been a nail technician for 27 years. She has extensive training in OPI and Zoya techniques to ensure the best for her clients. By taking many continuing education classes through Davidson's, Lana has perfected her spa pedicure and application techniques. She enjoys spending her time with her friends, traveling, and most of all, her Grandchildren.
Jane Feldman
Nail Technician
Jane has been a Nail Technician for 20 years. She has continued her education by attending classes with Nail Tek, and Nailtiques. She has also perfected her spa pedicures thanks to classes by Creative Nail Design, and the Mid-Atlantic Beauty Conference. In Jane's spare time, she enjoys good movies, delicious dinners, and good conversation.
